Default as detailed in unmoddedd manual

I have played the unmodded sh3 (and sh 2 ) when they first came out, then stumbled upon the grey wolves mod and played half way through before: life! stopped play - all the GWX guys deserve real kudos for the work done, I am running the full SH3 latest patch and latest gwx (an incredibly proffessional mod)

having said that and in the spirit of walking in on the sistine chape and pointing out "you missed a bit" I have a few things I would have done different : mainly more selection inthe range of mods i,e, - rather than it being removed completly I would like the option to keep the hull damage percentage as this is the type of info a captain would request and get from his officers.

After installing gwx with the captain america mod i have found that some additions are added e,g, the radio message check, there are also some controls missing, look on page 34 of the original manual which lists ORDERS and Escort to Base theese stay missing even when I switch back (using JSGME)

Wilkommen zum subsim Herr Kaleun!

Neither of these features were ever implemented by the developers. It would be nice to call for an escort into harbour, however its never been possible as the feature was never completed and implemented into the game.

Gute Jagd!

thanks for that - do you mean the original or GWX developers?

The message I got was in august 1940 saying that as france had surrendered and there would be " no targets in this area" if there were any missions to AN squares to request new orders

I also find that even though I am in lorient (oct 1940) I am still getting missions to an 81 giving me two channel runs

is this happening because I am still in the vii B will it change to the long range atlantic runs whenyou upgrade to a larger boat?

I meant the original Ubisoft developers did not complete the game. There a quite a lot of unfinished features that would have made for an even more immersive game had they been completed.

The radio messages you receive that are not "Contact Reports" are simply there for the immersion factor. You don't have to obey or follow any directions given in these messages if you don't want to.

The grid assignments are a bit random at times. If you get a bigger boat you will be assinged longer range patrols. As you are using GWX stay away from the English Channel. It is heavily patrolled and mined and is not a safe place to play.

This thread says you can get it back if you use SH3Commander:

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=119776

I don't play with it on myself as it's NOT something that anyone inside the sub could determine in real life. They could tell if they had a leak but not of the hull was likely to give way under less pressure than they may expect. I like the risk of not knowing how deep you can go.

Thank you very much Tarjak for your answer ,I know the Hull integrity is not realistic but we actually are not inside the sub, the dialog and comunication with the crew of the sub is "LIMITED" , and if you chek all the other war Games like Blazing Angels ,Pacific Fighters,Panzer Elite Action etc etc etc ,all of them have the score (DamageHitPoints), the SCORE is represented in SH3 with the hull integrity , thank you very much for your help , I must get SH3 commander or mod some files

SH3 commander isn't the only way you can get it back. Edit your \data\Menu\en_menu.txt and ensure this is there:

589=HULL INTEGRITY %s %

Thank you very much Raceboy, I think this is my first time I can edit some kind of files of SH3 , edit en_menu.txt and ge_menu.txt looks easy , but may be other files of this game are not so easy like ......." Silent Hunter III/data/submarine/NSS_Uboot2A " .......when I get NSS_Uboot2A , is impossible to go ahead . I am blocked
