Default Trigger Maru Question

I'm using Trigger Maru, with map contact updates turned on....ie ships should appear on the map. yet in my campaign, they don't. And i've noticed that when I go to start a new campaign, the realism options dissapear and I can't set anything.

I set the map contacts up in the main menu, but in my new campaign....the map is still emty and doesn't display any enemy ships :S

any tips guys??

cheers

If you mean the ship contacts you periodically recieve on your nav map, TM greatly reduces the radius that the game will report ships in. This was done to cut down on the spam in your messages recieved file.

If you mean that ships in your visual range don't show up on your nav map, did you make sure to reset your options in the "office" screen before you left port? It's set via one of the books on the bookcase. Try doing that before you leave port and your problem should be fixed.

When you start a career game via the selection menu (ship type, location, year, etc), it picks realism options based on easy, medium, hard, or realistic. These are default values which *I* felt were easy, to realistic. So these are changed over stock.

However, for your own realism options, always use the game options menu (radio on left bookshelf in office). These override the initial realism settings when creating a career. Under realism, check "custom" or something like that, and you can set it to however you like.

No external camera however will not raise the realism value. I made this change based on various modifications which limit the "cheatability" of the external camera.
