Default Shooting down planes and survivors.

Whilst experimenting on patrol I thought I would compare the plane attacks in this game with the lethal versions of SH3.

Having downed 3 planes with this game which I have modded by TM, the planes do seem to be less dangerous then in SH3.

However, although I shot 3 planes down I only got the credit for 1; it was almost as if the other 2 could not pull up from their dive attack and just crashed into the sea. Is this a known issue?

There is one survivor now in the sea and I am wondering if I pick this japanese pilot up do I get renown for him?

If anyone could elaborate on these points I would appreciate it.

Cheers

Hi there,

On your point about the "suicidal" pilots and their planes, it is indeed somewhat of a bug, more of an annoyance actually. On numerous occasions I've had bombers forget to pull out of their dives on my sub only to become "one with the water..". Hardly the best of the IJN..

Although it would be nice to get renown points for picking up the crews of downed pilots.. it is impossible however because sadly they all commit to Seppuku on the way home ... If only that were it.. It is in fact, impossible (at least in my attempts and experiences.. I usually opt to avoid A/C) to pick up downed pilots.

With Regards,

Krauter
