Happened to me a few nights ago too. Until then, i'd looked on the destroyers, not with disdain, but hardly with a great sense of foreboding. Once you're under and quiet, you're safe.
Ha first encounter with these 1.52 destroyers has made me reevaluate that little mantra. First spread hit at 180ft. Engine rooms and After torpedo lit up like a christmas tree, flooding through the now destroyed main bulkheads and i'm sinking like a stone. Needless to say I didn't manage to resuce the situation and my boat is currently resting inside out somewhere at the bottom of the Sulu Sea. |
