Default Crashing problem in SH-3-GWX 1.03

As i think most players are aware, saving a game underwater in GWX is a certain quick trip to the bottom ! In my 13th patrol, save 13,In The same storm, on the surface & the next day when i try entry to the save I crash to the bottom, but this is different, i'm not dead , i'm simply on the bottom & cannot move no matter what i do,but watch officer & crew are showing at their surface positions so i can access the escape, & EXIT Patrol. So i start Patrol 14, clear weather ,make it to my patrol grid & complete the objective patrol of the area, & again clear weather, do my save P14S1.Next day try to re-enter this save, Straight to the bottom again ! Again not dead "NAV tells me i'm 959 meters depth !!! Only fix is to exit patrol because watch officer & Crew are at their post watching the GUPPIES !!! There is a tell tale warning of comming problems as when i am doing the last loading screen the number of the 1st save will be printed on the orders seen on last loading screen near to the bottom of the orders ! Anyone know what is the problem is !

Yes. Ubisoft code doesn't always work the way we would like. IIRC this is a stock bug not a GWX bug.

To be honest it doesn't always happen, for example I have on hundreds of occasions saved whilst underwater and have never seen the crash dive of death.

The only answer if you are seeing it is to make sure you don;t save whilst underwater and start again from a previous save.

Had that once myself yonks ago when went to 500m and sat there
Never had it since

There were some thoughts a while ago about too many numbers in a save such as using the date\patol number can contribute to these things
I am not sure though as always used the date in the WPL campaign on my saves

One of the biggest problems with SH3 is some ppl get these bugs often and others never
Tis most odd

This is normal, not a sign of impending troubles.

I only ever save while underwater lol, never experianced the sank to bottom while gone syndrome. when i save on the surface my game atracts planes while i'm gone. I did restart 1 time 15 meters under the surface and to my surprise i had a full crew on deck. They evidently had grown gills since the were busy looking for sharks with thier binoculars. i simply gave the order to dive to periscope depth and they came back in as my sub rose 3 meters lol
BTW i've had the game since feb 2006 and been running the GWX mod since January, only added 1.03 this week
