Hi, this is just a request for someones Battlefield 2142 punkbuster folder. Somthing is up with mine and i keep getting kicked because of it. So if one of yall is willing to send me their folder i would greatly appreciate it.

I have already tied that twice and it didnt work. Ive reinstalled punkbuster twice. i have reinstalled the game and updated it and that didnt cut it. All i need is someones Punkbuster folder and im good to go.

you do know its illegal to share folders and or files of a game, right?

And as the others said, if a reinstall wont fix it, a folder from us wont

Actully its not illeagle as long as you own a legit copy which i do. Anyway its not like you can play the game from the PB folder.

Well, if the Reinstall doesnt work , My guess would be the same with someone different folder.

Yes i have followed the instructions. And i have fixed BattlefieldVietnam by using someones Punkbuster folder. What is so nefarious about borrowing someones PB folder?

Lets say just as an example, that you have an illegal copy of bf2142. Now maybe the punkbuster folder has some antipiracy **** in it, maybe you messed with it, i dont know. Either way, if anyone was to send you that folder, part of which theyve paid for, theyd be helping you, if youd stolen it.

have you mailed the support of Punkbuster and requested for help as the instructions dont work shown on the website. maybe they have a solution.

Punkbuster has zip to do with copy protection, its a separate anti hacking program for online play only. You can run any game that has punkbuster in single and even multiplayer with out having punkbuster installed, you just wont be able to join a punkbuster enabled server. Personaly i dont see any issue with requesting someone else's punkbuster folder, as it is separate from the game itself and its only purpose is to prevent online multiplayer cheating.

Besides if he was running a pirate copy he wouldnt want or need punkbuster as his cd key would not work with the EA master server.

If I was pirating 2142, first off, I wouldn't be asking for it here, second off I wouldn't be asking for the PB program which could be downloaded for free legit, and third of all I would have went to a warez and asked for a crack instead of the PB folder if I was pirating, and wouldn't spoil my good reputation as a avid subsim/flightsim and 3D level Designer of the Experince World War Two Mod, by posting such blasephmies on this great forum.

its kinda weird that the things dont work out as they suppose to be.
but anyway if I had the game I would have uploaded the folder.
I had similar issues with the Anti Cheat Application called DMW..fixed it ofcourse.
