Are you talking about THESE red disks? I DEFY you to prove this disk, legally purchased, having the Starforce protection, the Ubi name and logo, and everything else, is a copied or unofficial disk.

@Kingcobra24, nah thats a cheap imitation, here is the genuine (originaly near $100) item, or as Paul Hogen would say, That's not the disk ... this is the disk:

NeonSamurai: Edited to remove the DVD image with key

Ok, I can't help but notice that the really nice looking color disk has the same image as the Keyboard Layout Card if I'm not mistaken and missing the GameShadow logo.

I bought my copy of SH3 from Wal-Mart for a lot less than $100. Now, unless they requested changes to the software, I fail to see how there would be a difference in the disks other then maybe region. Where was the full color Disk bought?

I noticed there is a difference in the item number. The Red Disk has a 6 digit item number and the full color has a 7 digit item number.

I do find it odd that the full color disk has the Install Key Code right on the disk. Good place for safe keeping but not very practical when installing.

I'm thinking the U.S. version is the Red Disk then. I may be right that the disk design may indicate Region.:hmm:

Hmmmm....maybe that's why mine has worked first time, every time without a single crash, glitch, freezeup, and everything else that seems to plague everyone else that's a member of this forum. Has anyone ever considered the fact that one MAY be an EMEA version, and the other is the U.S. version? As I said, show me in writing....proof positive that the red disk is a cheap imitation. If that's the case, then Ubi has a very strong case of copyright infringement since their name and logo are on the disk. (If it quacks like a duck, walks like a duck, well, I'm sure you're old enough to know the rest of it.) And, by the way, congratulations on showing the world your personal install code so that everyone that DOES have an illegal, pirated cheap knock-off copy now has a code to enter to enjoy their illegal spoils.

Might I suggest removing an image with your CD KEY?

It's been awhile since I last reinstalled SH3 so I could be wrong, but don't you just need the key when you want to play online and not when installing?

Hehe, I think you'll find quite a few players have the *same* DVD key. My DVD, also purchased in Australia, looks EXACTLY the same as Reece's image, right down to the DVD key.

And the key is only required for MP.
