destroyer draft

Has anyone else come across any surface ships that appear to be sitting way to high in the water? I just encountered a destroyer that seemed to be virtually floating across the surface of the sea! I fired off three fish at her with ever decreasing depths (the last being about 3ft) and they all went under her without exploding. When I used the free camera to check her out half of her props were out of the water and she was gliding along in what seemed to be a gravity defying way

This was not a sub chaser it was an escorting destroyer Asashio type, my manual says she should have a 3.6m draft, but whatever type she was, would she really be steaming along with half of her props clear of the water???

This seems top be an occasional problem dating back to SH3. I can remember one SH3 convoy sailing merrily along with their decks awash.

Annoyed me so much I had to sink the whole d**n lot of 'em.

This is probably due to the amount of cargo they were carrying. SH4 tries to have heavily-laden craft very low in the water. For some reason a lot of merchants (esp. tankers) have no cargo loaded in the default campaign?

Happen to me too...

Some times, ships seems to fly over the sea surface (warships) and some times seems to saul "deck awash" (cargo ships).

It happen at random, and you may have normal DDs and "low draft" DDs in the same campaighn mission.

May be due to random load-up ...

Very anoying... Some times the 1.8m default torpedo depth pass under the keel of a Dds with no impact.

Do somebody know how to fix it ? :hmm:
