Sunk in harbor

I just transfered from Brest to La Spezia, my boat is a type IX
When i started a new mission something strange happened.
My boat was shaking forward and backward and the rear end of the boat seemed like it was inside the wall of the dock.
When i started the propellers i got severe damage untill the boat sunk.

What can i do about this?
How is it possible that my boat is stuck inside the dock wall?

What version of the game are you playing and what , if any mods have you got installed ? :hmm:

Start from a previous save!

You are supposed to be in an type VII there. Could be that the type IX is too long.
Try loading the in base before patroll save and change to a type VII boat. The IX boats are too big for the Med anyway:hmm:

Well, my IX C type isn't too long for La Spezia docks. I've been transfered to 23-rd flotilla on december 1942. I'm on my second (28 total) patrol, no harbour problems so far.

In real WWII warfare IX type at Med. were to big - that's no doubt, but in GWX they do just fine. You can even ride ports and get away in one piece.

And something else, it wasn't too big to cross the Suez Channel

There are a number of different possibilities here but to know for sure we need to know if you're playing stock SH3, GWX, NYGM or something else. There might be a non-supported base that you docked at (fixed by hotfixes in GWX but I don't know about the other mods), non rolling back SH3Cmdr before enabling mods, enabling mods while at sea etc. Basically help us help you

I got transferred to La Spezia in my IXB, have done 2 patrols, both started fine!
