I doubt if SONY learn from much at all, considering the handling of other aspects of their products. Probably starting to show on their bottom line too.

Have main system for work and gaming, and a small, cheap notebook with essentially not more than windows and browser for internet. Needless to say that both should not be linked, and files should not be transfered without the most paranoic security measures and scans.

It seems that Sony learnt nothing from the rootkit crisis years ago (the BMW one, if I'm correct), or the developers of this flash drive are really absent minded, not awaring such a hidden application can be abused by hackers, most importantly, it can be discovered and cause their boss headaches.

Thanks for reminding me for this. I'm going to buy myself a flash drive soon. This tip can definitely help me to avoid those trouble-making Sony ones. Perhaps I should stick to the Sandisk one instead.
