Default You know what I hate....

when there is no real night in the artic. I mean i was on my way to raid Reyakjavic when 4, yes four american destroyers come get me. I escaped but being under the surface 30km from the port running at 2 knots, and being constanly harassed by ships and planes causes you to run out of air and eventually batteries even on a snail like pace. I wanted to surface in a little side inlet to refresh air and batteries but there is no night time to do it. During the day in normal places they can see you and at night not so much. I hate the light now. All i want to do is to surface to get my batteries up to 50%. anyway, yeah thats what i dont like. This isnt a rant but rather a story. And yes i know that is reality but is annoying when your map has the reddish glow and you look out and it just looks like it would be overcast. Well thanks. --mowgli

Well at least in the early American war entry the American Escorts are inept....I got caught off the coast of new york in shallow water and managed to escape an American DD who was depth chargeing me.

The Happy Time was just that, and is moddled nicely in GWX.

I have yet to survive beyond early 43....

On the other hand, I've spent some winter nights in the Arctic when there was only a few hours on light. Made it easy to shadow a convoy and make repeated attacks. Unfortunately, BdU won't let me only fight in the winter

Ya know what else sucks when you fire a torpedo at a carrier and nobody knows youre there and the fish misfires and bounces off of the hull and suddenly everybody knows your there.
