Default The Docks

Why is it that every time I come back from patrol with damage and all, the docks never fix the hulls or reloads the decoys to the ship? I know this because if I take my sub to a in particular depth, everything goes to hell and my ship gets destroyed soon after I reloaded my torpedoes and have left the dock. When I took my sub to the same depth from the start of the mission no problems at all, so I know the dock isn't fixing the hull nore any thing else; and what is up with the AAA shells not being used, I mean the smaller shells for the AA guns, only the AP/HE are being used the same shells that the deck gun uses, that doesn't make sense to me at all?

Have you fired the AA at all? Or are you crash diving every time you get
a "Air radar contact".

Probably obvious but just in case... you are ending the patrol and not just re-arming and refueling aren't you? I would think if you re-arm and refuel you won't get any repairs done in dry dock.

That is indeed the case, last night I docked at Midway to pick up more AA ammo as I had a nice big hole in my side and had no choice but to sail home on the surface and slog it out with Jap aircraft. Lucky for me I had no more planes to bother me as I limped home to Pearl.

But when you arrive to your starting harbour (at the end of your patrol) , your sub is being repaired, isn't she ?

From what I understand, if you just refit, you get torps (if you load them manually) and more AA rounds. Sub damage is not repaired. Repairs only happen if you go to your home port and press end patrol.

Ignore the holes. It's cosmetic only.
