FINALLY! After waiting for what seemed like an eternity, I've got the "ball rolling" so to speak on my application. Went for an interview at the careers office today and the guy i spoke to said that as long as I get the needed results on thursday, and get a tad fitter they would put me forward for officer training selection! Woooot! I know its only the very start...and theres a lot to do before I can start pilot training...but its a start none the less!

Congrats, the first hurdle passed.
![]() Quick tip though, if you want to go for pilot selection, work on getting your blood pressure as normal as you can; this is the biggest failure point for the Civilian PPL JAR-FCA Class 1 and Class 2 Medical Certificate, and those standards are lower than the RAF aircrew selection standards. If you have high blood pressure at the time of the medical, they will sh*tcan you from pilot selection straight away. ![]()
