Hi all,
Concerning the rotating DF antenna, I had never seen this work before I installed the twisty periscope thinghy mod by Racerboy. However since that mod has some problems with the radars I disabled it. As far as I understand GWX fixed the rotating DF antenna so this should work without this mod and yet it doesn't ![]()

I downloaded the updated vesion, and all works fine now. The rdf was misplaced by the original version. I can't find the thread for that file though.

After the 16km mod, I think that rotating antenna is my second favorite.

Thanks for the clarification Racerboy....any idea why the antenna doesn't rotate unless the mod is installed? Maybe I'm wrong, but isn't it suppose to?

The only reason for the RDF not rotating would be if the conning tower DAT file has been changed in some way. Either by enabling a skin mod that is packed into a DAT which is not designed to be used with GWX or an uncompatible version of the Twisty Persicope mod, for example. Things like this will cause the problem you describe. Of course, there is also the official GWX mod which disables the Rotating RDF loop altogether.
With a 100% untouched version of GWX 1.03 the RDF loop will be raised & rotating.

Thanks Danlisa, I only started using skins recently and it wasn't working before that so I wonder what it is. Oh well....sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. One question, was this in all versions of GW or just in 1.03? Maybe I don't have the right version?

![]() If it's working intermittantly, is it with 1 type of boat or does it work depending on which boat you have? Just FYI, in GWX we have a Rotating RDF loop on the front right of the conning tower (this should always be up) & a Rotating Radar that will only be raised/rotating when it's installed. ![]() ![]()

That was exactly it. I can't believe that I have been playing for months and never even realized that I didn't have 1.03 and yet thought I did. BdU has ordered me back to Lorient for a little sit down with the Gestapo
