I have a modification regarded by many as half of the SH3 experience, and I'm not far from agreeing. It is called The Open Hatch Modification.
I understand it to be a work in progress, evidenced by a move to the proper location of the Observation Periscope, yet the base flange and housing remain where they originated in the program.
Is there further work being done with this ?
If it is completed, please provide me with a site to obtain it, or a working link.

im not sure but i dont think the base houseing was ever moved to the proper location.

I think this MIGHT require the SDK which UBI is not likley to release any time in the next decade.

for now you will just have to trip over it or use it as a hiding place for beer
