Default When you know you're going to die

Since its always fun to read how other people do in the game (and laugh at them on occasion), I thought it would be fun to share stories about when you just know you arent going to escape that destroyer, or there's just one to many bombers in the air.

Ill start with one of my favorites. I was patrolling in my brand new IX-B out of Williamshaven, and had to take the English Channel to get to my patrol grid. While running through the channel at silent running, I came across a merchant. Sinking it must have called every Destroyer in the Royal Navy after me, because before long I was dodging 4 DDs. The channel is shallow, so I was forced to run at parascope depth. Bad move, as somehow, they still heard me, and began pinging me. The destroyers set up their depth charge runs, and I desperately tried avoiding them. Two of the destroyers ended up sinking themselves after ramming me (accidental or not, I still laughed when I saw it), but more showed up. Of course, depth charges damaged me to the point where I sunk to the bottom of the channel from flooding, and that opened up for the destroyers to just take turns dropping charges on me.

Anyone else got any good ones?
