Default IXD2 Weathered....

Hello my fellow Kaleuns:
I was trying to use the skin showed in the pic below (IXD2 Weathered Dark deck as well as the light deck version) but everu time I enable either one, at the beginning of my patrol I get he message "Sonar Destroyed!!" and when I go to the conn tower, the loop antena is down and the grill antenna of the sonar is spinning in front of the conn tower.
I also noticed that the files in these skins are packed in .dat files not like the other skins I use that are in the data/textures/tnormal/tex folder.
I know that the problem is there because when I use other skins the problem is gone, but I would like to know if someone could tell me how to put the files of these skins in the same way as the others I use without problems or if anybody could do it for me to avoid doubts, problems or further questions about the procedure.
Thank you very much for your kind help!!

I made this skin before GWX was available, so there are 2 versions available.

The GWX/Textures version are here:
Dark - http://files.filefront.com/GWX+IXD2+.../fileinfo.html
Light - http://files.filefront.com/GWX+IXD2+.../fileinfo.html
Camo - http://files.filefront.com/GWX+++IXD.../fileinfo.html

Enjoy.

BTW, This is the Camo version:

Thank you very much Dan... I couldn't remember who made these skins and it doesn't say your name in the Readme either. So I apologize for that. I will dl them a little later when I go home, but in the mean time I want to ask you if these files have the tga's in the DAT's. If they ar ein DAT's I will still have the same prob.
Thanks a lot for that Dan, and will post when the download is done.
BTW, I never knew about the camo version, and jus tlooking at your pics I can say they look amazing!!

The download links I have given you are the TEXTURES only (no DATS), these are GWX ready. You will get the rotating RDF loop & raisable radar back again. Just make sure the previous versions that you already have are disabled.

Default IXD2 Cammo textures....Problems

S! Danlisa,

When I saw the pics of your Cammo textures.....immediatelu Downloaded them...they look so great!

But I have a problem...I installed, enabled it via JSGME, after having done a Roll back in SH3 commander...
I started a new carreer...10th flotilla....July 1943.....but my IXD2 do not have the cammo texture.....

I wonder if I did some wrong or forgot to do something.....?
PS: Note that I only D/L the cammo version!

Thanks a lot for your help!

Hi.

Please make sure an extra folder was not created when extracting the archive.

The folder tree should be:
IXD2 Camo Weathered > data > Textures > etc etc.

NOT

IXD2 Camo Weathered > IXD2 Camo Weathered > data > Textures > etc etc.

I'm affraid I may have caused this when I packed it up ready for upload.

Please come back if you need any further help.

Enjoy.

With the IXD2 Camo Skin enabled in JSGME, please navigate through to:

Silent Hunter 3 > data > Textures > TNormal > Tex

and tell me what .TGA files you find there.

Also, I have just downloaded this and an extra folder is created during extraction. If this has happened, there will be a folder called IXD2 Camo Weathered in your SH3 program folder. Worth checking.

Default Info on Cammo

" Silent Hunter 3 > data > Textures > TNormal > Tex"
I have 10 .TGA files:
9D2_deck, coning_stuff, mask_type9d, NSSUboat9D2, Smoke_volum, smoke_volum02, Turm9c, Turm9C_1, Type21_20mm_UFlak, UFlak_High

In SH3 program folder, I have no "IXD2 Cammo folder .....Only have the Readme file and 7 .Jpeg pics of the IXD2 cammo.

Thanks a lot for taking time to solve my problem.

Amitiés

Ok, it is working ingame. Same date as you (date in screenie).

Here is my folder tree for the MODS folder of JSGME, yours should look like this, with your relevant SH3 install directory. Sorry for the 'blurring' but there's stuff there which can't be made public yet. Opps , made this one a bit big.

Lastly, the enabled Skin in JSGME's window.

If there isn't a problem here somewhere, I'm stumped.

Finally, all I can suggest is repeat the process.
Roll Back SH3Cmdr
Disable Mod
(check to see that mod has been removed by checking the textures folder)
Re-check the folder tree of the mod.
Enable Mod
Test without Sh3Cmdr & then with SH3 Cmdr.

PS - PM received.
