End a mission?

Hi all,

Sailed out on my first mission, took some lovely photos of some moored ships, blew them up, then am told to patrol the east china sea. So, I go to the little binoculars icon, sail around there for frikkin ever, sink some more stuff, but still havent comleted the task. Whats a brother doing wrong??

you have to be within a certain distance of the icon for an amount of time to pass the mission (is it 50 miles?)

For those I just dive on the symbol and TC until mission complete.

Those missions are crud, reminds me of SH3!

Haha see that, I pointed out a great new feature of SH4, mission variety! :rotfl:

You have to stay within a radius 55 nautical miles of the centre of the icon until it turns grey to get a "complete". If the objective is also to attack enemy shipping, you need to sink aroound 10,000 tons.

I'm pretty sure you NEED to exceed 10.000 tons by 1 ton for it to be successful.

you only need to sink a merchant if the objective is to attack enemy merchants
