What a moron!

His brother getting thrown out of college makes total sense now.

Who would want Vick? He has not matured into a useful QB and remains a scrambling gimmick: A player that you have to reconstruct your entire offense around. What offensive coordinator wants to sit back with a tally sheet, making sure that Vick has had an opportunity to run the ball X times in the quarter? To top it off, he is very high-maintenance, and requires a large degree of reassurance from player and coaching staff alike, as well as ample platforms to speak his mind. He's like TO without the endzone dances.

I'm starting to think it's all about the money ... the 100 million dollars or so in a ten year contract, yep .... I think it's the money at least in private office chats that must be a serious consideration.

Having Michael Vick on your roster will cost you money. You're not going to bring your wife and kids out to see "the dogfighter".

I think all the major sports league have turned away from their hardcore fan base, and tried to appear more family friendly.

Vick is like the third guy lighting the cigarette.

Vick is an athletic specimen like I've never seen. And incredible athelete, and a very talented player.

But, Takeda is on the money. It just aint worth it. As amazing an athelete as he is, I dont see him being so valuable as a QB as to tear your offense down to scratch for him....

Besides. If it turns out he took part in dog fighting and stood by as dogs were killed or maimed, I dont want him to ever have a job again. So there ya have it.

I think (hear the black helicopters thumping in the backbround ) ...it is a plot by Phil Knight and nike to get Joey (over-rated) Harrington a starting position.

D'oh , it's too early to start the football rant.

As a Cowboys fan, I feel about Jerry Jones, like I imagine the Germans felt about Hitler.

*ponders to self why CFL never seems to encounter as much trouble with its players*

after that...

*reassures self that CFL kicks ass more than NFL and goes back to watching Lions kick Hamilton in its sad sack*

The yocal (yes yocal) newspaper has started up the front page "Joey" coverage.
(...runs to bathroom barfs, runs back to keyboard) It's going to be like this everyday until he gets benched.

Anyway, one of the sports radio shows got it right, I think. The pro-wrestler guy kills his kid and wife, no outrage. Vick engages in dog fighting, people are rioting in the street. I think we have our values upside- down.

What happen IF Vick stays with the Falcons, and they win the Superbowl. Would they still be outraged at his off-season actions in Atlanta?

...So who do you think will pick him up????? Da Raiders???? Detroit???? Dallas???

Here's Mylanta's schedule: http://www.atlantafalcons.com/Schedule/Schedule.aspx

Go Vikes!

Well thats what I feel. Its not just patriotism. I never get bored watching a CFL game while half the NFL games just aren't fun.

Without hikacking the thread too much I'll say that I like CFL rules better, the larger field. And 3 downs is so much better than 4. Overall also the smaller league is nice too. We only have one sad sack team right now. Poor poor Hamilton.

I love the San Diego Chargers, because I lived in San Diego for over 30 years. Half of my life was spent in San Diego.

I no longer live there, but I will follow them again this year paying over $250 for the NFL football channel on Direct TV.

I watch the other games of course, but my heart and soul go out to the Chargers.

Why? Because I love them ... everything goes better with love.
Same with the NFL or the CFL, submarines, planes, guns, food and sex.

Love makes everything go around ...

You're totally right. No matter what I always root for the BC Lions and I always hate the Toronto Argonauts... no matter what. Blue Jays, Argonauts, Raptors, and... of course... the Leafs...

But I dig on Winnipeg and Saskatchewan are cool too.
