Default manual tdc problems 1.3

I have had serious problems with the manual TDC after the new patch. I lock in a target and the position keeper shows a completely different setup, I have tried turning the thing on and off to reset but to now avail. If my target is at 30 det the tdc show a target at say 165 deg. How can I trouble shoot this problem? Thanks, Joe S

On manual targeting, the position keeper only resets when new data is being sent to the TDC.

The on/off switch only works on automatic targeting, since the TDC is being refreshed constantly.

Actually unless I click the PK button, there's no course update even if all data is available to the TDC. Whenever you enter data for a new target into the PK, make sure to click the button.

To troubleshoot: turn ON Map Contact Updates in the gameplay settings. Then in-game, check the TDC view (default is 2nd leftmost button on the Map command card). If the PK is properly updated, it will show a white X overlapping the target (or close to the target if the solution is poor). If you switch targets you'll notice the PK is still locked onto the old one (i.e. your target is on bearing 60 and the white X is on bearing 260, where your last target was). Click the PK button again to track a new target.

I assume you are referring to the red/white button at the right of the screen? I have been cliking it to re-set with no apparent results. Joe S

For Manual targeting:

The PK red/white button simply enables the Position Keeper, which then takes current data and evolves it accordingly.

Disabling it leaves the current data in place, it does not reset it.

Hi elaneiba!

Thanks for the tip. How does a person re-set the position keeper?

Thanks, Joe S
