Default eeek... what is up with this?

I'm shore you have all talked about this but i gotta say something. i cant seem too set a spread shot with more then one torpedo, every where i come in contact with a dd solo then stalk him for hours just too Finlay get him and because i don't trust my sonar guy or crew too do there jobs i set all torpedo settings myself. this always happens, i get him in the middle of know where then hours later after still in silent running 50 feet or so deep the other dd who was no where too be seen comes out of know where without pinging or my sonar man hearing him, its like bang on he found me then bang! I'm pretty much dead. this is 1940. know way this should be happing.

i don't know bout this 1.45 version, it don't seem real too me, not at all.
i guess thermal layers don't apply in this game.

am i to understand that your stalking lone destroyers?

but they move at a pretty good rate of speed... if your following in his baffels he wont have a clue your there until he turns.

but if your following in his baffles you must be moving at a pretty good rate of speed to keep up with him... so... any nearby destroyers from over the horizon will hear you and come zooming in to kill you without ever having to "ping".

i learned the hard way - got away with my life but still the hard way - dont go after destroyers or escorts unless its a you or them situation - its best to just let them go... otherwise you sent a torpedo that either did or didnt get you a mere 1900 tons or less.

you need to be stalking up onlarge merchants, large cargos, large tankers, whale factory ships... dont hit a warship smaller than a light cruiser.

there is a very tempting convoy of 5 or 6 black swawns that patrols the bay of biscay later in the war in a single file formation - very tempting - but even if you get a couple of them your toasted.

if your beneath the waves try not to chase targets submerged and try not to go faster than ahead slow otherwise your sounding the dinner bell for those DDs and keep in mind that even at silent running and ahead slow a destroyer can hear you when he stops moving which they are known to do.

I love stalking DDs, when i c them comming from a long way i just lay in wait, very silent usually 30-40 meters down, then when there in range i come up to pd and strike, its a 50-50 gamble but the payoff is a nice high tonnage of warships. You have to know wat your doing to do this kind of hunting... and another thing dont over think cause over thinking, umm what r u talking about again hahaha

Oh yeah, that's fantastic advice Mohr....

Though personally Id rather take my chances with the depthcharges.

you see im quite nutz... but the DD's and everything smaller than that (but bigger than these blasted elco's) are killed in no time so.... my next aim is the light cruisers and larger BB's

Well when you are carrying an arcade 10,000 shells with a reload time of 0 seconds everything is easy to sink

Try playing the same as everyone else then comment

I agree with Wooly, when i go after DDs on the surface its with 220 rounds and a 10 second reload time, Thats what surface raiders do, Mohr.
