Time question

When you guys start a campaign and have to go say from Pearl to the Marshall Islands do you do the trip at regular time or do you use the TC option until you get to the patrol area?

I use TC whenever I can. For me it has always been about " how much time do I have to play ", whatever happens as a result in the game I can live with.
