Waaaaay Behind the Curve

Well, after a three-year delay I finally picked up a copy of Sid Meier's remake of Pirates! I played it a little at a friend's house back when, so I'm not at a total loss, but I'm feeling a little backward remembering what I read on these boards in those days.

So...what are the 'must-have' mods? I mean which is better: Real Frigate, Not Your Great great great great Aunt's Sister's Uncle's Cousin's Supermod, or SCX (Skull & Crossbones eXpansion)?:rotfl:

Sorry, couldn't resist. I do get tired of people not reading things and then starting their very first post that way. Anyway, I'll be starting my dancing lessons in a day or two.
