Default Our tax dollars at work

Hamas lists seized U.S. weapons

Your tax dollars at work. By Aaron Klein for WorldNetDaily.com (thanks to Sr. Soph):
JAFFA, Israel – Hamas members today provided WND a preliminary list of what they claimed were hundreds of millions of dollars in U.S. weaponry and equipment seized during last week's coup against the U.S.-backed Fatah security organizations of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. Hamas vowed to obtain emergency U.S. aid slated for Fatah.
Last week, Hamas took complete control of all Fatah positions and U.S.-backed security compounds in the Gaza Strip, including Fatah's major Ansar complex – where American-provided weapons were delivered and stored – and Abbas' presidential guard complex.
The U.S. in recent years reportedly transferred large quantities of weaponry to build up Fatah forces against rival Hamas. Hamas officials told WND in multiple interviews they would seize the American weapons.

================================================== =====

Wonderful, just wonderful knowing that our tax dollars have been put to good use funding terrorism.

Wait, so supplying weapons to a group backfired on the US? Deja vu?

Uh, this isn't about making moves, this is about making obviously stupid moves and assuming that the enemy of your enemy is always your friend. You'd think there's been enough precedents to learn a lesson by now...

Yep. (They're like ______, everyone has one).

But does anyone (besides Fatah) actually believe giving Fatah weapons is a good idea? :hmm:

That some cents of the taxes I pay end up with "aid funds" for Palestinians makes me angry. American finances may expect to be used for weapons, and may even hope to be used for fighting Hamas. European funds are seriously expecting that they are being spend on paying wages, schools, hospitals, food... so who is the greater fool, america or Europe? Truth is both are acting insane, and without link to reality.

Since it is Shia Iran versus Sunni Arab world, let the Arab League come up for the support of the Palestinians, they can EASILY afford it, and their interst in preventing Shia dominance is at least as great as ours. Every dollar we pay in their place - is one dollar they pump into mosques and missionary centres in Europe instead of helping their beloved brothers and sisters.

Oh wait, i forgot that Palestinians due to their bad behavior in Jordan are disliked throughout the Arab world... too bad for them.

No EU funds for Palestine anymore, please.

Take this only as a reminder, a factual description, no need to have a politcal debate about this.

Maybe you want to think twice before supporting a group/president who obviously does not act any betteer than those the EU and Washington consider to be the bad guys. There are no "good" factions the West should wish to join with. We owe not being associated with these people to the ideals and values for which we claim to stand by our history and cultural identity.

I make my living off the evening news
Just give me something-something I can use
People love it when you lose,
They love dirty laundry

Well, I coulda been an actor, but I wound up here
I just have to look good, I dont have to be clear
Come and whisper in my ear
Give us dirty laundry

Kick em when theyre up
Kick em when theyre down
Kick em when theyre up
Kick em when theyre down
Kick em when theyre up
Kick em when theyre down
Kick em when theyre up
Kick em all around

We got the bubble-headed-bleach-blonde who
Comes on at five
She can tell you bout the plane crash with a gleam
In her eye
Its interesting when people die-
Give us dirty laundry

Can we film the operation?
Is the head dead yet?
You know, the boys in the newsroom got a
Running bet
Get the widow on the set!
We need dirty laundry

You dont really need to find out whats going on
You dont really want to know just how far its gone
Just leave well enough alone
Eat your dirty laundry

Kick em when theyre up
Kick em when theyre down
Kick em when theyre up
Kick em when theyre down

Kick em when theyre up
Kick em when theyre down
Kick em when theyre stiff
Kick em all around

Dirty little secrets
Dirty little lies
We got our dirty little fingers in everybodys pie
We love to cut you down to size
We love dirty laundry

We can do the innuendo
We can dance and sing
When its said and done we havent told you a thing
We all know that crap is king
Give us dirty laundry!
