GWX a new recruit

After just 2 weeks of the stock game, and averaging 50k tonnes a trip just of the shore in england. Taking on elco's and flowers with my deckgun. I got bored and d/lled GWX.
Installed it tried the training missions .... 1st shock my deck gun doesn't do as much damage as I need.. :hmm: ... so only an average score in the exam (need to redo that one tomorow)
2nd shock: Damn those planes they just killed my flak gunner, no wonder why he's not shooting anymore.. 1 plane left and no ammo ok I'll end it.. lucky me still an excelent score wohooo.
3th shock: Those lousy ships need more than 1 fish... b4 they sink... took out all but 1 merchant... ended the training whaaaa the training I did the exam didn't I, a whell I'll try again. got them all now.. on to the convoy attack. That was easy lost only 4 sailors cause I wanted to nail the armored tug thingy went into close and it got a few good rounds on my sub... sank all. excelent score. I rule

Just about to end my 1st patrol only saw 1 polish passenger ship (2k tonnes) let it pass due to the radio messages I receive.. and 3 Norwegian ships...

But man what an improvent over the stock game..
I hereby want to say to the developpers:

Man u ppl rule. I love. And many tnx for it.

I am new to GWX too, and I also think its a great improvement on a already awesome game.
I started with a type IIA out of Kiel, and did 5 missions, then I started over on a VIIB out of Wilhelmshaven (I didn't like having only 3 tubes and 6 fish total). Just finished first patrol with the VIIB, what a blast, found a convoy SW of Ireland and tore it a new one. Well done job by the GWX team.

heh, you've got quite pet peeve going there Penny

but you're right, the creaking and clunking should be scary only when you're too deep for comfort

Ok, to put this to bed. There are 4 'creaking' levels dependant on how deep you are. So I guess the one used at shallow depths can be tuned down a little.

I think your right Dan................I've been down to 410 ft in a Balao class sub, 23 years after she was built and never heard that kind of creaking..........

Just for you Ms. Grey, volume of first or "shallow" creak will be reduced by about half. (I share your pain... just hadn't had the time to tinker with some things lately.)

Don't let danlisa have you thinking that release is too close. We've got serious work ahead... no kidding. No release dates have been mentioned yet.
