Excellent Work! Is there anyway to make one with photos that do not show the person wearing a commander's white hat or with a Knight's Cross Around their kneck? Its just kind of odd seeing my first watch officer wearing my hat, and with a Medal 3x better than my latest! :P

Several of the photos are perfect. No hat, or just a plain officer's hat and no Knight's Cross.

Note to Beery et al - I just noticed that my name for this mod may sound confusingly similar to your team's RUB mod - this was unintentional, and I want to make it clear that I am not in any way affiliated with the RUB mod crew (or anywhere near to being in their league) and this "mod" of mine has nothing to do with the real "Real U-boat" series of mods. (It does, however, appear to be compatible with RUB 1.30 at least, which I am currently running with patch 1.3 - love your work, RUB team )

Edit - I went back and changed the first part of the name of this mod to "Historic" rather than "Real" to eliminate the potential confusion - sorry I didn't spot that sooner

Kewl, I used it and liked it, but i did 1 patrol after i installed it, the faces were there, but a strange thing happened. I had no fire textures when i hit a ship w/ a fish. Just flicking white where the fire texture should be. I dont know if its the mod, or when i updated my nvidia drivers to 80.xx, ill do anotehr patrol later and see what happens.

Yes - this would be possible, assuming I could find pictures of these folks without hats/medals - I just used the only photos I could find of the guys I wanted to use (plus I wanted some variety in their hats/looks) - besides, since I figure some of these guys (like Doenitz) are already famous/high ranking in their own right and just along in my boat for check rides or something, I wasn't too worried about the hats/medals - you have a good point though - maybe it would be worth doing an "early war" version with just folks who won't become famous till later in the war, with no hats or medals yet, so they would be more rank-appropriate as subordinates destined later to go on to greatness

Hmm - I've used this mod for the last two or three patch versions and several driver updates and never noticed a problem with fires or smoke stuff - I'm only running the beta 77.77s at this point, but given the odd graphics glitches I've seen with the last few driver updates (although these 77.77s seem to be working OK so far) I'd have to suspect the drivers - I don't really know what all is dependent on what else in the game, so I certainly can't rule it out, but it's hard to imagine that these modded officer picture files could have anything to do with the fire textures
