Default naval books

I know this has probably been done to death, but I hope you don't mind kicking that dead horse one more time. Now that I have discovered the mission editor I am looking for some good naval books. I am trying to tweak a bombardment of Henderson Field mission. Researching on the internet I know to use two Kongo class battleships. I know a light cruiser and nine destroyers, but I haven't been able to find the names and classes of the lesser ships. I would also like to start expanding these missions into patrols if I find the editor flexible enough. So when I am talking about books I mean books that go into that kind of detail. Thanks in advance for any recommendations

Yep, the What Are You Reading Right Now? thread has recommendations for probably every good naval book ever written.
(Well, I've got or have read a few American Civil War naval books that aren't listed, but nobody besides me wants to read them).

BBs: Kongo, Haruna

CL: Isuzu (Nagara Class, best match might be Kuma, IMO)

DDs: Oyashio, Kuroshio, Hayashio (Asashio best fit for these 3 Kagero DDs), Umikaze, Kawakaze, Suzukaze (Shiratsuyu Class), Takinami, Makinami, and Naganami (Yugumo Class, Asashio also best here).

That's the October 13th force from Richard Frank's definitive Guadalcanal (great book, BTW).

Thanks Tater. I have been using kuma for the CL, but fubuki for destroyers, I'll have to change that. I have set everything to elite, and set the goal to sink one of the BB. In testing this force is kicking my butt.

BTW, my substitutions aren't arbitrary, Kagero was an improved Asashio, and virtually identical in appearance. Yugumo was an improved Kagero.
