Default speed calculator from RFB ?

Hi.

I have been playing 2 years now, (game time, 41-43) with the RFB 1,27 mod on 100 % realism, and having real fun with it, but think the DD ¨s are just to easy now, ( dont get depth charged anymore ) so think i will try the trigger maru 1,2 mod now.

One time i even surfaced 2 km from a passenger ship with 3 DD's, and used the deck gun to sink the passenger ship, and they just sailed, as i was not there.

I think its a bug in the game, NOT in the RFB mod, and from what i can understand, the dd's in trigger maru are made a little harder / better hunters.

But i need the speed calculator, which is on the right side of the map in RFB mod,
(where i can time the enemy over some range, and then see the speed), but this is not in the trigger maru mod.

But dont know whats its called, so cant find this, in the mod list.

Hope someone can help me with this

I don't believe RFB did a thing to DD's so that's a stock issue. DD's ability is varied, some are very poor and there are some you don't want to meet. Having a DD sail on by while you shell a ship is a bit beyond poor though. Never seen it personally.

Speed calculator is the nomograph. You should be able to get that mod separately.

Dean,

use the ruler tool (It draws a straight line in any angle you wish) and start in the colum that has the value you know (F.e. time 5 minutes), then make the line go through the second column in the exact point of the value you know (F.e. distance 1.5 nautic miles). In the point where the line you drawed crosses the third column (That with the value you did not know, i.e. speed in our case) you can read the result. Hope that helps

Yes the "Trigger Maru" mod does have the nomogragh listed, but I don't seem to have it either, or didn't until I installed it from a separate mod. I have a question though.. After installing it and doing some experimentation, I ran some lines through it and came up with different figures than would be true. i.e., for example, 6 minutes, traveling 0.6 nm=6knts -- 12 minutes, 1.2nm=6 knots-- 24 minutes, 2.4=6kns and so on. When running lines in the nomogragh, for the examples above, I got inconsistant readings by say a 1/2 knt or so....I tend to believe it may be due to the resolution I am currently running the game at (1280X960). Has anyone else noticed this?

I am currently playing with "Trigger Maru", and can say that the DD's are more agressive. If you enter a convoy expect ar least 3 and probably all 4 of them (DD's) coming at you dropping DC's. I have not played RFB enough to give a comparison, but Trigger Maru's DD's and stock 1.2, have a big difference between them.
