Default Nvidia Drivers 94.24 FYI

Hey guys just wanted to post an FYI,

finally got around to updating to my existing graphics drivers for my 7900 GT
I was using the version prior to 94.24, i found that these new drivers that were released in May seem to be doing a little better with SH4, FPS is up slightly and a few little anomalies are no longer around (random FPS hits). I tweaked them to exactly the same settings as the prior version.

so if there are any driver slackers out there (like me), u may want to check these out.

ForceWare Release 90
Version: 94.24

Thanks for the headsup.

What's the trick to actually getting to the driver download?

I even signed up for their stupid newsletter and I still can't find the link to download the thing...

Just curious but, why would I go to a third party to get drivers instead of
nvidia.

Click where it says primary download site, then accept the agreement. You don't have to subscribe to the news letter. If you're running XP, chances are near the top of the window, right above "NVIDIA" there is a message that says "To help protect your security, Internet Explorer blocked this site from downloading files to your computer. Click here for options." Click on that message and chose to download file. That should do it. Good luck.

The link in the first post does take you to the NVIDIA download site.

just a follow up here, surprising the day i made this thread, i was on patrol and my rig died! right there, as i launched a torpedo at a huge pax liner

it crashed so hard, that when i attempted to recover it didnt even post. tried everything to bring it back. needless to say, i think the motherboard or the PSU is cooked. it was a very slightly over clocked AMD 4000+ running at about 2.8 with a 7900GT CO, the game looked stunning on that machine... getting around 25FPS on external harbor views with vertical sync on and AA around 4x

i completed my new build last night, Intel E6700 and a 8800 GTS... at 50FPS its like nothing ive ever seen before! the water, the high res skins, a whole new game. its truly amazing now with all the graphics to 100% and AA to 16x!

the 7900 is such a good card but i never expected a leap like this....
