Default Dead Crew

Can you have crew members die or do they just get injured?

Gruesom,say what !

I recall having some black crosses, before patch 1.02,None since though. Had to haul them back to port, for shipment home to kin, better than shark bait, now we all get the deep six. I have never seen "dead" crewmen.

My tours seem to run in the extreme. Either we slip away without a scratch or "Critical flooding sir !" and its only a matter of time.

That's to bad. It would be kinda cool or not, to lose some. If they die you would have to replace them when you return to port. The game is kinda like a RPG when it comes to crew management. Being able to develop them from recruit all the way to officer. The idea of losing them adds to the realism in my opinion.

I got rammed, once. I had two crewmembers in the aft tube compartments at 1/100 health - icon a shade of dark grey. They started healing as I returned to base.

It was probably planned to be implamented as a money.... er... renown sink but ended up being tied to the "domino effect" damage model and was changed in the patch.

Thats my guess.
