What, No Camera Zoom?

I'm looking at my boat in the murky depths and the mouse wheel doesn't zoom in. This was an important part of SHIII and under the options, it says camera (external and otherwise) zoom, mouse wheel. Whay does this not work for me and apparently other people too?

I've always used the keyboard arrows to zoom in.

The mouse wheel doesn't work for me either. Use the up and down arrow keys to zoom or shift + arrow keys to zoom fast.

The wheel doesn't work for me either. Haven't tried the arrows yet but I will.

Thanks for that info, guys. Am using the keys and am able to zoom around like superman now and follow the torp or cannon shot. Just like the olden days. Without the mouse wheel. Funny tho. I am having alot of problems with the gameplay check boxes. I have abandoned a couple of startup careers because the event camera kept turning itself off.
