Vanishing Ports

Ahoy Kaleuns,

I've got a question regarding the ports in Stock SH III plus both official add-ons, no GWX.

In the original game without the official addons, I always wondered why on the map ports were shown that didn't exist. Like Belfast or Londonderry. There are red points on the map, but when you zoom in or even really navigate there, there's nothing. Were are these ports? Also, after installing the mediterranean addon, I've got plenty new ports in that area, but ports that already existed, like Dublin, vanished. The harbor is still marked on the map, but no quays there anymore. It didn't happen to all of the harbors, just to a few. I loved Dublin, always 3 liners, 2 tankers there with literally no defence (one elco). It's very strange to me.

So is it common that there are more ports marked on the map but don't exist as real ports and has anyone else experienced that these real ports vanish after installing addons. :hmm:

Well, I don't know why some things like that were done in stock SH3.

All I can really speak for is GWX itself. In GWX every point on the map that can be visible from the coast, has a harbor with traffic or at the very least, a visible town or city when you sail there.
