Default Humm... No aircraft spotted?

I see that you all are consistently reporting numerous attacks by aircraft during your patrols but I have been in the Bismark sea for a while now and I have yet to see anything other than a seagull. I have been sinking ships left an right outside of Rabaul (convoys are pulling in one after another in Jan '43) and the Japs dont seem to care. I can sink a two oiler convoy (they are always unescorted ) north of Rabaul and then confidently sail away on the surface since no aircraft or destroyers are dispatched to search for me. I remember in SHIII that if you sank a ship in the channel you could count on a few destroyers to show up within an hour or so.

I am using the FTT 2.4 mod (great mod BTW) if that makes a difference. Is my experience realistic? I selected VERY HARD when I started my carreer, etc.

THANKS!

If I'm not mistaken, both the FTT and RFB reduce the frequency of air attacks. They'll happen, but just alot less then the stock game.

I've got both FTT and RFB installed, patrolling in the Bismarck sea and I'm getting crazy of all the planes overhead. Sometimes even at nighfall.

It's jan 43, I've probably pissed them off at raboul, for three weeks I'm getting buggered by planes, everyday.

But what the Heck, I'm having a great time.....

I do not run any of these mods but I get long dry spells of no planes. I like the randomization personally.
