Default Something New - and a Fix

I was unable to secure from silent running. Every time I pressed the Z key it said "Rig for silent running". In the past, by pressing that key a voice said "Secure from silent running". Not this time. Also, the silent running icon in the task bar was greyed out. I was only able to secure (I guess, because they started reloading torpedos again) by going to Battle Stations. I stayed in BS until torpedos were reloaded and then secured. I only had two torpedos left and they loaded. After securing from battle stations I don't know if I was secured from silent running or not.

Were you surfaced or submerged? I dont believe it has any effect on the surface.

I was submerged initially but eventually surfaced. Nothing happened torpedo wise until I went to battle stations.

Seems to be a "feature" here - if you rig for silent running and then surface but forget to secure, it will still have the effect of halting torpedo reloads. If you dive again, silent running will still be active. Unfortunately, there is no way to secure while surfaced, so don't forget to secure from silent running before you surface. In SH3 this was automatic, but not so in SH4. Every time I surface, I hit 3 keys - surface, secure, ahead slow (2/3).
