best cruise yet of career

came across a juicy convoy, after a resupply, of mixed large/medium freighters with 3 DDs for escorts. i sink one of them and 8 freighters with torpedos and the deck gun and left one DD damaged and freighter burning. here's the map on my way out:



the survivors are a lifeboat, 2DDs and 3 freighters. the AI was a kinda dumb @$$. i was well within range of it, yet it did nothing as i shelled 4 of them and one DD without having it reply.

I keep hearing these reports of dd's not responding.

It simply has not been my experience. Ive been prosecuted every single time.

In fact Im lucky to get off one full salvo without having to take evasive action.

But hey keep up the good work sink enough of em and we can walk to japan !

:rotfl: never played that one. as for the DDs, before that last cruise i can across a task force and a coupla DDs were all over me. had to sit on the bottom to repair while 2 destroyers were directly above me and a couple more very nearby searching whilt 2 escort carriers got away . maybe there's a certain radius and/or ship type they protect

yeah, kinda. just as well, tho. i didn't have a lawyer

Probably they haven't be able to separate you from the ocean floor, with all those rocks and plants... Consider yourself lucky and a job well done!

lol. that no longer exists. got sunk on a later cruise and when i tried to load the last save i kept getting a not responding in taskman so i had to start another career. never goto the marshals. absolutely nothnig there. had to goto the bismark sea for 2 freighters and then wake for a destroyer. sent that one to the bottom that one with a near perfect bow on shot . he stopped real quick from what musta been close to 30 knots

So, it seems like that UBI missed Ageia Pshyx drivers...
From 30 knots to full stop, i think it takes time....

not this time, after getting hit on the port quarter just abaft the bow. there was still some forward motion but it was greatly reduced

we will just wait for a 1.4b patch, then...:rotfl:
