Default Go Luftwaffe!!

made contact with a lone merchant southwest of norway, mid 1940.

He was fast... and my flank speed was inoperative thanks to a malfunction via SH3 commander. I wasnt gaining on him much but had the radio man send a contact report.

Goering was feeling in a Christmas mood today and appearantly had a flight of 4 Stukas out roaming around the area with nothing much to do... within 30 minutes i contunued the persuit and my watch spotted aircraft.

"Crap... im going to have to evade these planes and let this bugger go!"

and they dove in on him and bombed the crap out of the poor merchant

They were our fly boys!

good work GWX team!

Luftwaffe

This was when I was sneaking into Liverpool, only to find out someone got there first. Look at the smoke stacks, they sunk a merchant and damage another...

Saw the fly boys when doing that failed Santa Marija convoy attack, blew the **** out of the troop ships. Dunno if that was scripted or not

I cant wait to see something like this.

Is there any general areas (ie close to Germany) where you are more likely to get air support? Obviously way out into the Atlantic is out of the question.

Also does it matter what time in the war it is? Or they will provide support all through?

Once the French bases are operational, go sightseeing in just about any southern, eastern English port and call the Luftwaffe

Saw a very unusual sight last night. An RAF Sunderland was having a dog fight with an Italian Stuka! The Stuka was high and behind but unable to shoot at the Sunderland, and eventually got shot down by the rear and dorsal turrets.

Luckily for me the Sunderland was so distracted that he didn't bother to attack whilst the Stuka was around and so I crash dived and got away before he could hit me.

The Luftwaffe never turn up when you need them and when you don't as you close in on a nice juicy target those fly boys claim the prize.

The earlier years (41/42)in the Med seem a good spot if you like to see German/Italian aircraft giving the enemy a licking. Though I was pretty pissed when after taking two hours to chase down and line up a shot at a pyro, I fired the fish and immediately saw an explosion on the Pyro....wtf!? I was thinking that my fish must have hit light speed when I noticed the bombers...my torpedo did hit but I guess it had already been destroyed as I did not get any credit

I have seen more friendly aircraft attacks during my short time in the Med then all the many patrols I had in the Atlantic. The coverage of the friendly bases covers much more of your normal patrol areas in the med than where you would normally patrol in the atlantic.
