Concerning Torpedo going into the same spot unintended

Sorry guys, same discusson here - http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=139628 - Forumauthor may delete this thread

Hallo dear subsimers,

First let me thank you for this great forum. Many Questions have been solved for me. Yet one couldn`t be resolved though.

I`m using the RFB 1.4 mod (dont have the addon "uboat" yet). When i try to shoot torpedos at Convoy ships or single ones the torpedos always goes into the same direction. This is unintended!

Lets say i target a ship right hand side of me (dont know the naval term) then the first torp goes left, lets say 330 degr, without me wanting him to. When i correct the aiming on the same ship (it has moved by now, lets say 10degr.), the next torpedo is also going to the left to 340 degr. It goes for all torpedos respectivly. Im using manual aiming.

Please be assured, that i have read the manuals on manual aiming and seen the videos on youtube. I think its a problem with the TDC which has old datas. Yet im not clear how to undo these datas. I heard that you just have to dobleclick it but this doesnt work. Just to show you how i aim:

1: identify ship
2. measure range to ship
3: guess relative position to ship
4: now put TDC on
5: now put measured datas into TDC (by pressing litte red tangular thingy)
6: after a while measure range again and put it to TDC (might do this 3 or 4 times)
7: Ask computing solution for Speed and put it into TDC
8: fire Torpedos

Even if i dont use the TDC, the torps will go "in the same spot" aka direction. What am i doing wrong?

Thx

It is a bug in RFB which was fixed with the newer versions which only run with 1.5.
I'm using 1.4 too and removed all torpedo entries from the RFB library.

I replaced them then with the realistic torpedo malfunctions mod of NSM.
Works fine here.

But before you do anything you might want to wait until someone replies who really knows something about it. I just did a lot of patchwork here and it is quite possible that there is a simpler solution.

Thank you schroeder. At least i know now that it could also be a bug and not my incompetence.
