SH3Cmdr & Random Folders - Questions
Can comeone please explain the correct use of the Random folders option im SH3Cmdr.
I want to randomise about 12 various Sub Skins. ATM I have them all in folder "0" in sub folders with various dates spread throughout a few years, i've just changed the months. Under that is the data folder with it's relevant folders. Does that sound as though it's setup right? and how does SH3Cmdr determine when or what to copy from the random folders? Thanks |

If you just want to randomize the skins, regardless of date, you should put each skin in a different numbered directory under the Random folder, e.g. one skin under directory 0, one under directory 1, etc...
Of course each file to be randomized has to have its correct path, e.g. random\0\19390901\data\..... etc... random\1\19390901\data\..... etc... In this way one skin will be picked by SHIII according to the randomizrd value. If you want that some skin appear only after a certain date, you must use differend date folder, e.g. random\0\19390901\data\..... etc... random\0\19400701\data\..... etc... random\0\19420901\data\..... etc... ... random\1\19390901\data\..... etc... random\1\19410401\data\..... etc... random\1\19430601\data\..... etc... in this way according to current date, only the most recent (but not future) skin will be picked from the randomized folder HTH Cheers Maraz |
