Default UK Employment Law and Job Titles

OK guys I need some help.
I have been forced on my e-mail signature to change it from draughtsman to draughtsperson. I argued it was daft PC bollocks but I was told, it's the law having "man" in the title is illegal (as is having "woman") but I can't seem to find anything in employment law saying directly that this is illegal. I think it might be down to interpretation. So if UKers can help me out be finding in black and white that it says it would be illegal for me to be calling myself draughtsman then I'll back down. Till then I'll moan like hell.
