Default SH4= a great Sim

With all thats not perfect with this sim, its really great. You get a real sense of the vast expanse of the Pacific. Graphics are great. While some issues need to be addressed, I enjoy SH4 much more than sH3. Thanks to the DEV team and all the modders who add the finishing touch.

I have to say its growing on me too, takes a lot longer to get into the action of course.

the graphics are stunning. ive never been a gfx over gameplay kinda person, but damn its so nice, almost photo real.
some screenshots on this forum could be confused for the real thing, and thats before theyre photo shopped. it really adds to immersion.

there is plenty of variety, convoys and task forces can be massive. the oceans have tons of activity.
missions are varied.

by 1.3 it should be near perfect, ill lay of the mods till then though.

Mods, please ban Javelin for his positive post.

Joke, looking forward to running it myself. :rotfl: :p The last patch(es) (I hope) will be put and the modders will work their magic. Kudos to the devs.

I haven't played SH4 all that much. Been playing SH3 with GWX instead...

however yesterday I finally got around to installing the 1.2 SH4 patch...

and...I was surprised...both pleasantly...and not...

The graphics look awesome, the gameplay bugs have been dealt with (no repeating missions yet) and it's still damned fun!

...downside...

try submerging and clicking on the bridge icon...I dare ya... It's worse than the A crash...cause you want to go to periscope and if you miss click...CTD...bah...
