A Map Tools Question

I read in the game manual that your supposed to be able to rename the "X's" text , when useing the marker tool .. But for the life of me I haven't figured it out yet.... Is there some kinda cryptic key combo or some such....?:hmm:

Good question. :hmm:

I haven't been able to figure it out myself, so I assumed it's another feature that didn't get finished. Hopefully the upcoming patch will fix this.

Another 'relic' from SH3 which was not edited out.

This feature is NOT in SH4.

Go ahead and read the maual but keep in mind its next to worthless it is full of mis-information and erronious data.

Your best source of information is right here on SubSim.

I really hope they add this back in the 1.3 patch, as it would be very helpful. I also initially read the 'manual' that came with the game and couldn't figure out how to make this work. It was only after discovering SUBSIM and reading through the wealth of information here that I realized the game was actually lacking many of the features described in the manual.

I'm still completely confused as to why SH4 is missing so many features that were present and working in SH3. It's obvious from all the 'left-overs' from SH3 in the SH4 file structure that they used SH3 as a 'template' for building SH4... so why couldn't they have just left the stuff that was already working just fine (like this) right where it was?

<sigh>

Thanks a bunch

I guess i should have guessed ...this was the case ... And your right come to think of it I never could get it to work in SH3 either..... But all in all I'm still "rooting" for the home team (UBI) and SH4 . With with time... I'm sure along with the help from all these great "Modders" we have here on board subsim.com , this will (sooner or later) be a great simulation ....

Whatever they tell you, it's allready a great sim....
With the new patch coming along it'll only get better.
There are shortcomings, but it's playable.

The modders are doing an outstanding job, the community is answering most, if not all, questions and the devs are on the move fore 1.3

It's a great game

Game itself is pretty good once patched up.

The manual is an absolute wreck.

Heh...It's funny. I never read manuals for putting together furniture, or new computer parts, or when working on a car, etc. But get one thing wrong in my new game manual and I just can't stand it!!!
