Default System Problem

Hello,

yesterday i install GWC and played for a while wihtout Problems. Today i started again, but after a couple of moments i see green colored Ploygons flickering all over the objects and water. Further my System hangs up after some seconds when the grpahic problem occurs.

What is the problem? I updated my 6600Gt to the latest driver,.... without success.

Are you overclocking your agp card. I had something similar a while ago with GWX. I tracked ti down to auto overclock settings on my Omega derivers. I found some lower settings which don't show any graphich issues.

Hello and welcome.
That card should run Sh3 and GWX, had one myself
Have you reinstalled DirectX and the newest nVidia drivers?
It really sounds as your card is going bad, sorry.

Are you sure the temperature sensor is working? I'm not quite certain what "system temp" means in your case, but 25° C is rather cool for any working part of a PC.

I have had a brief trawl though some of the tech forums covering this kind of issue. Most of the responses seem to indicate overheating. Find what looks like a decent tech forum for your card and post your question there as well.

Found this page, looks similar to your issue:

CPU temperature is not important. VIDEO CARD temperature is important.

You should *monitor* its temperature while you are *playing* the game (not on load/exit or by alt-tabbing as temperature changes VERY quickly).

Based on your piccy, it seems highly likely that video card overheating is the problem.

Sorry to add more, just a brief comment.

I use one of the Zalman coolers on my card, definitely works well.
