Default Sampans, bloody sampans every where

Hi on patrol from Brisbane, up near Soloman Islands, seems the place is infested with sampans, just about every radar blip is another sampan, can this be toned down or removed. Sampans as wooden boats and ships they might show a differanct profile at least on radar so you dont spend all your time and fuel chasing a sampan.

Also:

Sampans and junks are Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean or Japanese trading vessels. I doubt many would have been in operation around Solomans or New Guinea, a bit too far south.
If these are supposed to be enemy coastal tradinbg vessels can they be altered to look like a barge or whatever, I dont like the idea of shooting up defenceless and inocent pacific islanders!

Islanders use praus and outriggers, and wouldnt bother with something as slow as a junk or sampan. If these sampans are supposed to represent local traffic, it is not cool to shoot up inocent, piece loving Islanders no siree!!

They're good for deckgun practice

They are colaborators , cruising around reporting back to the emperor any enemy activity, they must not be spared!

Im telling ya i let one pass and not long after i was attacked by 2 destroyers!

They the eyes and ears of the enemy. SINK EM! .... or go round them but dont let them spot you.

I sink them with my deck gun and then use my twin 20mm AA gun on the survivers. I do that myself as for some reason my AI crew members refuse to do the dirty deed. No quarter given to enemy spies.

Default Red dot specials

I think your somewhat ethical crew refuses to shoot em up because they are not enemies, they're natives, who actually lent considerable aid and assistance to US and Assie army, navy and airforce.

Thats why they dont fly a flag ingame, I only shoot the ones with the red dots!

Yes, they are inappropiate both for the locals and for Japanese coastal shipping. What is needed for the SW Pacific are an abundance of Japanese "sea trucks" plying the coastlines:
