Default Units and torpedo depths

Howdy yall.

I'm confused on the units in the torpedo settings to set depths... is this meters or feet? The depths posted in the recognition manual are meters (for depth of keel), which is odd for a US manual. The manual states that you should take the draft reading from the reccognition manual and add 3 to 5 feet... so do I need to convert this? What's an easy way to do this on the fly?

Thanks!

I think the conversion for meters to feet is about 3.25 feet per meter, so just take the numbers in the recognition manual and multiply. I wouldn't be setting torps down too deep as they run lower than what they're set at already, historically this was a true torpedo problem, I think they ran about 10ft deeper than whatever they're set at.

I have had fantastic luck setting my depth at 10' for large warships and 5' or so for merchants. DD's seem best at 3-4'. I know that doesn't necessarily fit with the manual, but it works very well.
