Hi Guys (and Girls),

I eas on the way home from my 2nd patrol and was feeling pretty good after sinking 90,000+ tons of shipping. I got a aircontact that would detect me if I staid on the surface, but I had enough of diving to periscope depth during my patrol off Japan, so I manned the AA guns and told them it was open season.

The plan came in range and was identified as a Mavis, My AA gunners let fly and killed her. Now this is where the story gets interesting...

The Mavis had release her bomb before she was killed and they were headed straight at me!

They landed on the port side near the conning tower. The Mavis decided to follow the bombs and crashed directly into the conning tower

Big explosion, boat rocking, waiting for the damage reports to come streaming in saying were about to sink. Guess what, nothing! Didn't even scratch the paint!

This isn't what has happend in the past! I just wish I has a screen shot (was too busy curling myself into the fetal position after seeing where the plane was headed) The scene would give you nightmares!
