Upgrades - Alberich and others??

I've noticed that from about mid-1941 on, there are some interesting upgrades we can pruchase for our U-boats, provided we have enough renown. It is mid-late 1941 and ALBERICH has just become available for my VII-C. Do any of my fellow captains in here think it is worth the upgrade? Does it actually work and do what the description says (make your submerged U-boat harder to detect)? Are there any of the later upgrades that are just not worth it in your opinion? For example... FUMO-29... maybe just wait until FUMO-30 becomes available due to its ability to rotate 360 degrees. Any input of thoughts greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance... and GOOD HUNTING!!
