Default Guns sfx issue on AI-controlled ships

Hi all,

I am new to this forum although I have been playing SC and DW for quite a long time.

I have a question regarding the sound sfx and perhaps you could help me to clear it up:

I have noticed that when AI controlled ships fire their main and AA guns no sound is produced. After checking the database I found out that the launchers (the guns) have assinged a .wav file within the agg file for the corresponding sound they should make, yet they don't make any.

I originally thought it could be an issue with my soundcard (Creative Soundblaster 512) but friends of mine have the same issue with newer cards models such as the Live! one. Do you know if this is a drivers or hardware issue or another glitch such as the RBU launchers not functioning and so on? Is there any way to fix this?

Thank you.

FYI,

The sfx and 3D sound are activated on the DW sound control panel and this happen on "show truth" mode. All the other sounds (ship engines, missiles, torpedoes, etc...) are OK.

The only ship that is not affected by this is the controllable OHP FFG.

Thank you.
