Default Why so many planes??

Is just me or there are so many enemy planes everywhere?? Patrolling December 1941, in the middle of nowhere, 1000 miles of Hokkaido!! And the skies are busy of zeroes, Vals, Kates, Betties and they sunk me!! TWO times!! Why are so many planes?? Can I turn they off??

I'm not sure, but I think if they spot you, or if you send out a status report, they know where you are and they come after you.....

But how can a Betty cruise 1000 miles and return to base? Assuming all the other kind of planes have a carrier nearby

That due to a coding error. The airplanes only have two registered speeds. Min and Max. Thus, patrol craft can cover a larger area than the norm.


I find the best option it to crash dive, and sit on the AA until submerged. Somehow this is possible. As it takes so long to dive you can at least harass the aircraft until your safely submerged.

Not to mention there's a Japanese airbase on Wake Island. As far as I can tell from the game files, it officially opened in 1938.

It is so manny air attack in the game that it is unplayable with out a mod to remove the air attack or a new patch

I edited the .cfg file that governs air attacks, toned them down and the game is far more playable now, but still has the danger of a sudden air attack. Basically I just edited and tested it until the amount felt right.
