A fair and honest review. Could have been more positive, could have been more negative; I personally prefer Neal's take on it (mostly because it was written by a sub enthusiast for sub enthusiasts, whereas this one has been written by a general-interest simmer for general-interest simmers), but this one is certainly another one to read for those 'considering'.

I didn't have the installation problems he referred to and I de-selected the DirectX update, and everything else except the program and the codec.

I have the download version and with the install, deselected everything but the codec and game. Worked fine on 1st install, patch and have not had to reinstall.

The review does have that "general interest" feel to it. He thought the crew management was over the top. It's apparent he never played SHIII.

Not pirated. I get this with enviromental effects on. Usually when there's a mist.

A fair Review based on version 1.1.

A fair review IMO. Perhaps a bit too critical in a way that Neal's review was a bit too lenient, at least with regards to the final score.

Still, way better than some of the glowing "hooray"-reviews that makes you wonder if the reviewers had indeed played the game for more than half an hour.

From all the reviews I've read so far this game is getting a "qualified" thumbs up: Nice game, could be better. More than fair.

The transparent crewmen is not part of the copy-protection. Flat crewmen are and eyes popping out of their heads.

I think it's a fair review for this game. "...enjoyable game that met some of my expectations." sums up my personal feeling about this game quite good. Wish we all could say more, but I still hope for patches and mods.
