Default ok.....i'm fed up of this!!!!

I've been playing SH3 since it was release, and its only now that i've had the chance, at long last to get a battleship kill!!!!!

Perfect position for the kill, let the escorts bybass me and snuck slowy on in at 2 knots.

What happens???? My *ufkcing dumbass crew can't keept the *(cking boat level at PD.....a simple thing to do, and the boats conning tower slightly breaks the surface, alerting them all to my presence and bringing em down on me.

I'm running GWX 1.03....which is said to not have this boyancy problem....i never had it in 1.02....lol!!!!

What can I do to stop this?? i'm sick of my boat not being held at an ordered depth in calm seas!!!!! and this missed glory kill is the last effin straw!!!

sorry for my bluntness.....but i think my fellow captains understand the frustration of missing a battleship kill when one is so close they can already feel a Ritterkreuz round their neck!!!

piece of cake... if you intend to go "ALL STOP" your boat will run shallower as speed drops off... order the all stop but at the same time order about 16 meters depth problem solved.

rough seas is another story. U-boat crews had boyancy issues in real life - just order 16 meters if you plan to go still in the water

when you're going at 2 knots and is at PD level just put your depth to 14.5/15 meters
it will keep the boat at around 13 meters

Did you enable the new optional mod that came with 1.03?

That should do the trick.

The one that reduces positive buoyancy. Open up JSGME and you will see it.

I have this same problem and have tried to enable this mod but it dosen't seem to exist for me and does not show up in JSGME. Anyone know where I can get a neutral boyancy mod that does'nt affect the surface physics??

JSGME comes with GWX. You will find it in the SilentHunter III main folder.

From the Manual:

Added Optional modification: “Reduced Positive Buoyancy” - player U-boats now exhibit ascending and descending behavior closer to stock
Silent Hunter III but with a very slight positive buoyancy. GWX surface physics are maintained
